Graduate Students

Diana Devine, M.S. (devinedm@vt.edu): Diana is a student in the Child and Adolescent Development program area in the Department of Human Development and Family Science. She has been a part of the Children’s Emotions Lab since the fall of 2017. Her thesis examined gender differences in parental emotion socialization of both positive and negative emotions. This research included both mothers and fathers of school-aged children. She is currently working on projects related to technoference, which is the study of how technology can interfere in the parent-child relationship.

 

Meredith Atanasio (matanasio@vt.edu): Meredith is a student in the Child and Adolescent Development program area in the Department of Human Development and Family Science. She has been a part of the Children’s Emotions Lab since the fall of 2019. She is currently working on her master’s thesis, examining how maternal parenting stress and emotion regulation relate to dyadic interaction with preschool-aged children.
