Dr. Cindy Smith is the director of the Children’s Emotions Lab at Virginia Tech. She is an expert in the field of child emotional development, parent/child interaction, and parenting behaviors. Dr. Smith received her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State. She received her Master’s and Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from UNC Greensboro. Dr. Smith is currently a professor of Human Development and Family Science and director of graduate studies for HDFS at Virginia Tech.
